Step Up Performing Arts – Free session any Saturday in term time

Step Up Performing Arts, for children aged two to 16 years, runs from Colfes every Saturday from 9am until noon during term time.

Founder, Nathalie Richardson started Step Up 26 years ago while still a student at The Guildhall School of Music.

Over the years they have had a great deal of success winning Comic Relief does Glee on BBC1, appearing on Don’t Stop Believing on Channel 5, Pitch Battle on BBC1, Britain’s got Talent, The X Factor and The Voice.

Step Up Performing Arts

Through our agency, many students have appeared in West End shows such as The Lion King, Les Misérables, Matilda, Mary Poppins, Thriller and Oliver as well as TV shows such as Silent Witness, Casualty, Marcella and Dickensian.

Many Step Up students have gone on to have careers in the performing arts.

Step Up has a very personal atmosphere, and as well as excellent tuition, the aim being to give the children a wide range of experiences from our end of term shows, West End shows, Trinity Guildhall exams for all students and annual talent contests adjudicated by an external judge.

The Agency at Step Up is open to all Step Up students.

Step Up Performing Arts

Classes start at two years old (tots class) where they get 45 minutes of performing arts.

From four to five years upwards they get the option of a 90-minute session or three-hour session, and from five years upwards all students do the three hours.

The classes comprise of singing, drama and street dance.

All classes are small, and our main aim is for the children to develop their skills and confidence in a warm and positive environment.
