Chuks Aneke back in full training as Charlton Athletic look to end wait for a victory

Charlton Athletic are bidding to end a seven-game winless run in League One when they head to Lincoln City on Saturday.

The Addicks are 21st in the form table for the last six matches, drawing four of those – the latest a 1-1 draw against Oxford United last Saturday.

Charlton have almost a clean bill of health with Chuks Aneke closing in on a first-team return.

The former Arsenal youngster is yet to feature since injuring his calf in a behind-closed-doors friendly in July but the club tweeted images of the forward back in full training today.

Sean Clare missed the Oxford match through illness but returned in Tuesday night’s 2-1 EFL Trophy defeat to Colchester United. Diallang Jaiyesimi was forced off in the first half with an ankle problem.

Charlton have lost on their last two trips to Lincoln.

Their last league victory was in February 1958, although they did pick up a 1-0 League Cup success there in 1986 to win 4-1 on aggregate.

Former Palace midfielder Mark Kennedy was appointed the Imps head coach in May.
