Fourth South London killing in five days, this time in Anerley

A murder investigation has been launched in Bromley following a fatal stabbing.

Police were called at around 12.30pm on Sunday, 4 November, to a report of a stabbing in Samos Road, Anerley.

Officers attended along with paramedics and London’s Air Ambulance.

The man, believed to be 22-years-old was found suffering from stab injuries. Despite the efforts of emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene at around 1pm.

Enquiries are being made to establish his identity and to inform his next of kin.

A post-mortem examination will be arranged in due course.

Cordons are in place at the scene, and an urgent investigation is underway.

There has been no arrest at this stage. Enquiries are ongoing.
The victim becomes the fourth person to be stabbed to death in South London in the space of five days.
The previous three murders were
* Rocky Djelal, 38, was killed by a children’s playground in Southwark Park on Wednesday
* Jay Hughes, 15, died three hours after being found with stab wounds near Morley’s takeaway in Randlesdown Road in Bellingham, Lewisham, on Thursday
* Malcolm Mide-Madariola, 17, died after being attacked with a knife at Clapham South tube station as rush hour began on Friday
