Man charged with murder in Trei Daley stabbing

Detectives investigating the murder of Trei Daley in Hackney Wick have charged a man.

Christopher Appiah-Blay, 35, of Wick Road, Hackney, was charged today with murder and possession of an offensive weapon.

He was kept in custody and will appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court.

At around 4.30am on Saturday, two people were admitted at an east London hospital – both having suffered stab injuries.

Despite the efforts of medics, one of the men died at hospital. His family were informed and he was identified as Trei Daley, 26, of Bromley.

A post-mortem will take place in due course.

The second man, aged 24, was discharged from hospital later that same day.
