One dead and three rushed to hospital after motorcycle collision in Greenwich

One person has died following a collision between a motorcycle and a group of people in Greenwich.

Police were called at around 7.30pm on Sunday, to Plumstead Road, near the junction with Lenton Street.

Officers, London Ambulance Service and the Air Ambulance all attended the scene.

Four people – a motorcycle rider and three pedestrians – were involved.

Despite the best efforts of the emergency services one of the pedestrians – a male – died at the scene. The other three people have been taken to hospital for treatment.

A large amount of road closures remain in place and enquiries into the circumstances continue.

Anyone with information at this early stage that could assist police is asked to call 101 or tweet @MetCC and quote CAD 6036/19Feb.
