Non-league round-up: Dulwich suffer survival fight setback as they lose at Bath but Welling progress in Kent Senior Cup

Dulwich Hamlet suffered a 2-1 defeat at Bath City on Tuesday evening to pull them closer to the National League South drop zone.

Hamlet took the lead through Sanchez Ming’s 38th-minute penalty.

But two goals in the last 10 minutes of the match gave Bath all three points. Jordan Dyer equalised in the 81st minute before Scott Wilson give them the lead with three minutes of normal time remaining.

Dulwich, who travel to leaders Ebbsfleet United tomorrow, stay 19th in the table, with the gap to the bottom three cut to six points.

Welling United progressed to the semi-finals of the Kent Senior Cup on Tuesday thanks to a 3-2 win at Ebbsfleet United.

Warren Feeney’s side took the lead early on through Kyrell Lisbie, with the Fleet reduced to 10 men shortly after when Elliott Romain was shown a straight red card.

New signing Sadik Balarabe equalised for the Wings after a Sido Jombati penalty. Darren McQueen’s strike gave the Fleet the lead but Chi Ezzonlim’s 54th-minute solo effort sealed Welling’s place in the final four.

“It’s always difficult,” Feeney told the club’s YouTube channel. “We haven’t been playing badly at the minute – we just lack goals. You look at us and it’s fine margins in the league. Conceding one goal in three games prior to this, at any level, is decent.

“We just haven’t been able to put it in the other end. Tuesday was a chance for some players – I’m all for rotating – and they have given me a headache.

“Sadik was outstanding. He will get minutes under his belt – he is a definite threat.

“The two centre-backs did really well. It was a typical local derby. No matter what cup you’re in, it’s the quarter-finals and you want to get through.

Welling will take on Chatham Town for a place in the final.

Bromley sealed two new contract extensions this week, with captain Byron Webster and midfielder Jude Arthurs both penning deals at Hayes Lanes. Ex-Millwall skipper Webster, 35, has made more than 100 appearances and scored eight times during his spell with the Ravens so far. Arthurs, 21, came through the club’s academy. He has made 85 appearances and scored 17 goals in all competitions since stepping up to the first team.

Andy Woodman’s side head to League Two-chasing Wrexham tomorrow, with the Welsh side top of the National League table by a point.

Fisher lost 1-0 to Deal Town in the SCEFL Premier Division on Tuesday evening.

Tooting & Mitcham – bottom of the Isthmian League South Central Division – head to Sutton Common Rovers tomorrow looking to end a six-game winless run.
