First high street ‘slime store’ opens in Lewisham

Gootopia, the UK’s first high street slime store, opens today in Lewisham shopping centre.

The new slime store is located in the South Mall of the shopping centre featuring ‘Goo-to-Go’, the world’s first slime vending machine.

Gootopia was set up by Lewisham couple Chris Saville and Nishi Bowan Saville.

Previously, in 2019, Chris and Nishi founded the slime party venue Slime Planet in Brixton after their children became obsessed with slime making.

The store will feature shelves of ready-made slime, slime ingredients and activators.

It will also offer a range of activities including weekend slime workshops and birthday parties.

Nishi, co-founder of Gootopia, said: “Our children absolutely love slime and their passion is our passion, which led us to launching a slime party venue. 

“It’s been a great success – there is a lot of love for slime out there – so we’ve taken the next step up and opened this slime store, the first of its kind in the UK.”
