Man arrested on suspicion of kidnap and dangerous dog offences in Croydon
A man has been arrested on suspicion of kidnap and dangerous dog offences.
Officers were called at around 1.35pm yesterday to Broughton Road, Thornton Heath after a member of the public reported a woman being dragged into a car.
When officers arrived the car had left the scene.
As a result of enquiries, officers attended a house in Thornton Heath.
A woman in her early 20s, who was the subject of the call, was found safe at the address.
At around 6.15pm, a 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of kidnap.
He was also arrested on suspicion dangerous dog offences after an officer was bitten by a dog.
The man is currently in detention at a South London police station.
