Man taken to hospital after stabbing in Bermondsey

A man has been stabbed in broad daylight on a Bermondsey street.

Police were called at around 4.30pm on Monday to Tanner Street SE1 after reports of a stabbing.

Officers responded with the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance.

A man aged in his 20s was found with stab injuries and he was taken to hospital. His condition has been assessed as “not life-threatening or life-changing”.

So far there have been no arrests.

A Met police statement said: “A crime scene is in place and enquiries are ongoing.

“Anyone who witnessed this incident or has information/footage should call 101 or Tweet @MetCC quoting 5132/3APR.
