‘If you feed him, he will score’ – Millwall midfielder has special praise for in-form Tom Bradshaw
Millwall versatile midfielder Callum Styles has assessed team-mate Tom Bradshaw’s season after the forward scored a brace in the 3-2 win over Blackpool last Friday to take his tally to 17 for the campaign.
Bradshaw is joint-fifth with Burnley’s Nathan Tella in the Championship goalscoring charts.
The Welsh international, who earned a recall to Robert Page’s side this season due to his form at club level, has scored 40 goals in 161 appearances for the Lions.
“He’s been amazing,” Barnsley loanee Styles told the South London Press.
“I don’t think he’s scored this many goals before in a season. I’m buzzing for him – he’s a top guy and runs his absolute socks off for the team.
“It’s good to see people such as that get rewarded with playing well and scoring. We have our number nine, and having one you can rely on to score goals just helps the team so much.
“If you feed him, he will score. It’s a good feeling to have.
“It’s a similar scenario to hunting and being hunted. He’s never done these numbers before, so there is no expectation on his back to hit 20 goals a season every season.
“Obviously, as a striker, that’s what you aim to do. Everyone is getting behind him and knows that he’s in form and can score.
“We just have to deliver for him and put our confidence in him that he will score.”
