Three taken to hospital and five treated at scene of house fire
Five people were treated at the scene of a house fire this morning, with three of them being taken to hospital.
Four fire engines and about 25 firefighters tackled the blaze at a house in Riddons Road, Grove Park.
Most of the first floor and part of the loft space of an end-of-terrace house was damaged by fire.
Three people escaped the building before the brigade arrived.
The brigade was called at around 8am and the fire was under control by around 9.30am.
Fire crews from Lewisham, Lee Green, Sidcup and Eltham fire stations attended the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
