Teenager stabbed to death in Westminster

A teenager was stabbed to death in Westminster earlier this afternoon.

The Met were called at around 1.40pm to reports of a stabbing in Paddington Green, near Edgware Road.

Officers attended the scene along with paramedics from the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance.

They found a teenage boy, believed aged 17, with a stab wound. Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene at 2.15pm. His next of kin have been informed.

A statement from the Met said: “A murder investigation is under way following a stabbing in Westminster.

“Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing. No arrests have been made.

“Any witnesses or anyone with information is asked to tweet @MetCC or call 101 quoting CAD 4068/19JUN.

“To remain anonymous contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
