Millwall knock back latest Burnley bid for Zian Flemming – any deal would significantly break Lions’ transfer record

Millwall have rejected the latest bid from Burnley for their attacker Zian Flemming.

The South London Press understands that any deal for the Amsterdam-born player would significantly break the club’s outgoing transfer record – set when Middlesbrough signed George Saville for £8million in 2019.

The 24-year-old scored 15 goals for the Lions in his maiden season in English football following a club record £1.7m arrival from Fortuna Sittard.

Burnley are strengthening their squad after promotion to the Premier League.

But so far the Clarets have not come up with an acceptable offer to the Lions.

Flemming has no release clause in his Den deal.

Flemming won Millwall Supporters’ Club Player of the Year, beating Tom Bradshaw and George Saville to the accolade.
