Burnley snap up released Palace academy midfielder

Burnley have completed the signing of released Crystal Palace midfielder Basilio Rieno Socoliche.

The 18-year-old has signed a two-year deal at Turf Moor.

Socoliche, who joined Palace from Watford at academy level, has joined Burnley’s U21 side. 

He has been capped twice by Equatorial Guinea at U18 level.

Dan Quick, Josh Addae, Ryan Bartley, Kalani Barton, Freddie Bell, David Boateng, Maliq Cadogan, Junior Dixon, James Leonard, Cameron Lewis-Brown, Reece Hannam, David Omilabu and Matty Vigor were also all released by the Eagles this summer.

Burnley operate as a category two academy.
