Carmelle Hepi: 13-year-old girl who went missing at a party found safe

A 13-year-old girl who went missing on Sunday from a party has been found safe as four men have been arrested on suspicion of kidnap.

Carmelle Hepi, from Barnsley, had been reported missing by her family after she attended a party in Watling Road, Camberwell.

She was found yesterday at an address in south west London.

Three men, all aged in their 20s, were arrested on suspicion of kidnap on Tuesday. A fourth man was also arrested but no further details were given. One man remains in custody and the other three have been bailed pending further inquiries.

More than 50 investigators from the Met were working to find her.

Supt Gabriel Cameron, South West Command, said:“We are delighted that Carmelle has been found safe and well and will soon be reunited with her family.

“The scale of this operation reflects our serious concerns about her welfare.

“This is an example of how when the Met works as a team and with others we can achieve a great result.”
