Mum left with broken cheekbone after attack in front of husband and daughter

A mum has been left with multiple injuries including a broken cheekbone after she was pushed into a Perspex window by a man in front of her family.

British Transport Police (BTP) have released CCTV images of a man they wish to speak to in connection to the attack at East Croydon railway station on July 16.

At around 4.55pm, the victim left a train at the station with her husband and daughter.

A man left the same train and jogged along platform 4 to catch up the victim. Once walking side by side with her, he pushed the victim over into a Perspex shelter window.

He then left the station on a train to Hastings via Kent.

The victim was left with a fractured cheek bone, a deep cut to her chin, and bruising to the face.

A statement from BTP said: “Officers believe the man in the CCTV images may have information that could help with their investigation.

“Anyone who recognises him is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016, or by calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 495 of 16/07/23.

“Information can also be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
