Attacker on the loose after broad daylight stabbing

Police have launched an investigation after a 19-year-old man was stabbed in a park in broad daylight yesterday afternoon.

Officers were called at around 3.30pm to reports of a stabbing at Beckenham Place Park, off Beckenham Hill Road.

Police attended the scene along with paramedics from the London Ambulance Service. 

The teenager was found with stab wounds. He was taken to hospital where his injuries were assessed as not life-threatening. 

The attacker is still on the loose as police launch an investigation into the incident.

A spokesman from the Met said: “An investigation is under way and enquiries are ongoing. 

“There have been no arrests. 

“Any witnesses or anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting CAD 4940/10Oct. To remain anonymous contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
