Woman, 33, dies in hospital after horror stabbing

A 33-year-old woman has died a week after she was brutally stabbed in Bexley.

Police launched a murder investigation after a woman was found with stab wounds in Penhill Road on January 16.

She was taken to hospital where she died from her injuries a week later, on January 23.

Her family have been notified and are being supported by specialist officers.

A post-mortem examination will be scheduled in due course.

A man has been charged in connection with the investigation.

Tony Curant, 33, of Penhill Road was arrested on January 20. He was charged with attempted murder the following day.

Curant appeared at Bromley Magistrates Court on January 22, where he was remanded in custody. He will next appear at the Old Bailey on February 5.
