Mother Mother take on Wembley following world tour

A platinum-certified indie rock group have just released a new single and will be heading to Wembley this month as part of a huge Europen tour.

Mother Mother will headline at OVO Arena Wembley in Engineers Way, Wembley, on February 29.

As a prolific indie rock band, Mother Mother’s sound has changed significantly since their well-known sophomore album, O My Heart, was released in 2008.

While the existentialist themes and eerie qualities remain, the group’s work has shifted to include more rock and electro-pop elements.

Comprised of Ryan Guldemond on vocals and guitar, Molly Guldemond and Jasmin Parkin taking up vocals and keys, Ali Siadat on drums and Mike Young with the bass, Mother Mother have received global acclaim across the past three years, with more than 6.6billion streams worldwide since 2021.

Their Wembley performance will feature their latest hit, To My Heart.

With acoustic guitar and trio harmonies, To My Heart follows fan favourite Normalize, the first single from Mother Mother since 2022’s Hayloft II, taken from the album INSIDE.

Ryan Guldemond, lead vocalist and guitarist said: “Our new song is about trekking through the treacherous internal landscape of stored bodily trauma to arrive home safely in the space of the heart.

“It’s a theme that mirrors the old adage, ‘The only way out is through.’

“We hold this concept dear and find ourselves returning to it often, as a means to become more whole ourselves and ideally to provide the listener with some support, should they find themselves on a similar, often rocky path back to an open heart.”

The tour announcement comes off the back of the band’s exhaustive festival performances to tens of thousands of fans, with stops at some of the world’s most influential events including Reading and Leeds, Lollapalooza in Berlin, Corona Capital in Mexico and Lowlands in The Netherlands.
