Incoming boss Nathan Jones at The Valley to watch Charlton Athletic

Nathan Jones is at The Valley this afternoon to watch Charlton Athletic play Derby County – although his appointment might be delayed.

The Addicks have agreed a deal with the former Luton Town, Stoke and Southampton boss.

And our photographer Keith Gillard has got shots of Jones, who is in one of the executive boxes in the Alan Curbishley Stand.

It had been expected that an official announcement would happen today but the South London Press has been told that there is a wait for the contract to be legally approved by the League Managers Association.

Jones’ first match in charge will be next weekend against Reading.

He is expected to bring in Paul Hart, a former academy boss at the SE7 club as well as having a spell in caretaker charge of Crystal Palace, to assist him.
