Exclusive: Mumpreneur, TV and radio star Sarah-Jane launches hair care brand

By Sarah Tetteh

When it comes to icons, you don’t get much fresher than Sarah-Jane Crawford.

This South London star, who shot to fame fronting top TV shows including The Xtra Factor, is also a Hits Radio presenter, DJ, actress, and now a mumpreneur after launching her hugely successful Clean Curls products that are currently flying off the shelves at Superdrug.

As a mother-of-two gorgeous girls, doing the juggle is real. So she’s created a brand built around her family and for all people with curly hair.

The epitome of hard work, grit, incredible talent and determination, SJ has returned back to her roots to launch her fabulous hair care range –  for people who like her, struggled to find the right products for curly hair for years, and now she offers them a glam, and cruelty-free solution.

In an exclusive chat with the South London Press, SJ said: “I was born in Lambeth and raised for many years in Herne Hill, so Southeast London has always held a special place in my heart.

“As a child my mum would trawl the streets of Brixton and Peckham looking for hair products for my curls, so it’s surreal for me now to know that other young families can simply visit  the High Street stores of Superdrug and grab my non-toxic goodies Clean Curls.”

Inspired during lockdown to embrace her natural hair, and keen to use ‘clean’ products whilst pregnant – Sarah-Jane created and designed her own range, Clean Curls.

A highly effective, paraben and sulphate free collection, the range is suitable for the whole family, and has been endorsed by no other than Rita Ora and Little Mix’s Leigh-Anne Pinnock on social media.

Working with Superdrug to launch the efficacious and affordable products, Sarah said: “I’m thrilled to be launching Clean Curls with Superdrug, as our visions align in that they believe in ‘of the moment’ yet ‘accessible’ beauty, for all.”

Shoppers can get their hands on the Super Softening Shampoo and Super Slip Detangling Conditioner from today, for just £8.99 each.

The 2 in 1 Leave In & Curl and Super Shine & Define Curl Custard come in at £11.99 each, and the Detangling Water & Curl Refresher and Multi-Use Vitamin E Oil cost just £6.99 each.
