Charlton Athletic set to land Arsenal keeper Hein on loan
Charlton Athletic are set to sign Arsenal goalkeeper Karl Hein on loan.
The Addicks had been interested in a deal for free agent Asmir Begovic but our paper revealed yesterday that negotiations had broken down after financial terms could not be agreed.
Estonian international stopper Hein had also been mooted as a potential target for Barnsley.
The 22-year-old was signed by the Gunners in 2018 and had a loan spell with Reading in the second half of the 2021-22 season.
Hein penned a new contract with Arsenal in the summer before his existing terms expired at the end of June.
He made his senior bow for the north Londoners in their EFL Cup tie against Brighton in November 2022.
