Teenager charged with GBH after Kennington stabbing
A 15-year-old boy has been charged with grievous bodily harm after another teenager was left in a critical condition on Tuesday night.
The attack took place in De Laune Street, Kennington, at around 5pm where the victim, believed to be 15 years old, was found with multiple stab injuries.
A Metropolitan Police statement said: “Police were called shortly after 5pm on Tuesday, January 7 to reports of a male found with stab injuries on De Laune Street.
“Officers attended and a male, believed to be aged 15, was found with stab injuries. He was treated at the scene by the London Ambulance Service and conveyed to a South London hospital.
“His condition was initially ruled as critical but has since been assessed as not life-threatening or life-changing.
“A 15-year-old male was arrested in Tovey in Maidstone, Kent later on Tuesday, January 7 of suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.
“He was charged on Wednesday, January 8 with the offence and is remanded in custody to appear at Bromley Youth Court on Thursday, January 9.”
