Head teachers at primary schools across South and west London have been welcoming back full schools for the first time since spring.
The majority of pupils went back for the first day at St Peter’s Church of England Primary in Chippenham Mews, Paddington – with 95 per cent attendance rate.
Head teacher there, Sam Adcock, said: “Everyone has settled in well and there’s lots of fun and laughter throughout the school.”
Pupils will be taught in bubbles of classes of 30 and will stay together for break time, as at the majority of schools across the area.
The moves also see regular cleaning and children will be using hand sanitizer as well as soap and water after using the toilet.
