Women’s football club raises over £1,700 for Afghan refugees

A women’s football club has raised over £1,700 for Afghan refugees.  South East Parakeets FC, took part in five hour five-aside match to raise money for refugees and displaced families. Club co-founder Amy Doyle, from Lewisham, came up with the idea and organised the match that took place at St Dunstan’s five-aside pitch in Catford on Sunday, September 26.

Hospice staff ‘delighted’ after a visit from a Royal Princess at the opening of a new £6.5 million education centre. St Christopher’s Hospice, in Sydenham, welcomed its Royal Patron, HRH Princess Alexandra, The Honourable Lady Ogilvy, to its brand-new Centre for Awareness and Response at End of Life (known as St Christopher’s CARE) yesterday.
