Dizzee Rascal charged with assault of a woman after domestic argument in Streatham

Producer and rapper Dizzee Rascal has been charged with assault following a domestic argument at a house in Streatham.

Police went to a residence on June 8 where a woman was reported to have “minor injuries”.

The musician, whose real name is Dylan Mills, has been released on bail and is due to appear at Croydon Magistrates Court on Friday, September 3.

In a statement, the Metropolitan police said: “Dylan Mills, 36, of Sevenoaks, Kent, has been charged with assault after an incident at a residential address in Streatham on 8 June. Officers attended and a woman reported minor injuries. She did not require hospital treatment.”

Dizzee Rascal is an MC, rapper, songwriter and record producer.

He released his debut album Boy in da Corner in 2003 which earned him the Mercury Prize.

He was made an MBE for services to music in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List in 2020.
