Former Millwall midfielder made available for transfer

Former Millwall midfielder Ben Thompson has been made available for transfer by Peterborough United.

The 27-year-old left the Lions last summer and joined the League One outfit as a free agent.

Thompson made 33 appearances in all competitions for Peterborough last season but did not start a league match after the start of December.

The Posh have published a story on their official website with a list of players they are happy to move on.

“Peterborough United are now in a position to confirm that a number of players have been made available for transfer following the conclusion of the 2022-2023 Sky Bet League One campaign and a couple of players have been released following the expiry of their contracts,” said the statement.

Thompson came through the ranks at Millwall and made 175 appearances for his boyhood club, scoring 12 goals.
