A look inside London’s pre-BAFTA bash

By Sarah Tetteh

Awards season is upon us, and as Hollywood stars descend onto our city to celebrate the Baftas this weekend, we caught up with one of London’s finest talents Oti Mabuse at a pre-BAFTA bash.

She’s not just the stand-out star of Strictly and Dancing on Ice, most importantly, Oti is a mum.

And like most new mums have to learn, multi-tasking ain’t easy.

She said: “I’m just navigating my way through. You just don’t know what to expect until you actually have a baby. I love being a mum though.”

Never a truer word spoken.

The star was out with her doting hubby, and looked as sensational as ever as she showcased her curves in a stunning strapless mini-dress.

Oti joined guests including Paloma Faith and Calvin Harris’ wife Vick Hope for a fine dining experience at Piccolino, Heddon Street.

They were elated after sampling some of the most decadent steaks ever, straight from Italy. They were licking their lips at the Club IR launch and were treated to the summer menu filled with stunning risotto and truffle dishes, as they celebrated the  VIP rewards package ahead of the BAFTAs.

Speaking about her secret to looking so good, Oti told us: “All of the spanx. That’s my secret. There, you have it.” Ladies, take note.
