Accidentally Wes Anderson: The Exhibition comes to west London

An exhibition is offering guests to immerse themselves in pastel-hued grandeur and idyllic landscapes from the world of iconic film director, Wes Anderson.

Instagram sensation Accidentally Wes Anderson (AWA) comes to west London on December 8, with Accidentally Wes Anderson: The Exhibition, an immersive exhibition of the best photos it’s published.

AWA is a social media community that has created a feed of images taken by the public in the style of Mr Anderson.

As well as large-scale versions of pictures from AWA’s Instagram account, the exhibition will tell the stories behind the real-life locations.

The journey will weave through seven themed rooms filled with more than 200 photos and other interactive surprises.

First up and heading into the Post Office, guests will be sent back to analogue-London, celebrating mail and other delightfully traditional means of communication before the digital age.

Further inside, a Maritime section will showcase a collection of places by the sea, from lighthouses to boats and breezy landscapes.

And of course, one of the most recognisable categories when you think of Wes Anderson – Transport.

From gliding gondolas to an abundance of vintage planes and trains, this room celebrates all modes of travel for AWA fans.

Founded in 2017, AWA was established on Instagram as a source of inspiration for travellers and creatives and quickly developed into an online community of nearly two million members.

And just as you think it’s all over, the gift shop offers a chance for everyone to get some AWA merchandise.
