Brand new adaptation of Shakespeare’s Richard II reimagined at The Vaults from 6th April
A play that reimagines Shakespeare’s Richard II as a woman presenting as a man to hold on to power is coming to a theatre in Waterloo this spring.
The brand new adaptation from Quandary Collective is returning to London after an outdoor tour of the UK and will be at The Vaults from 6th April to May 8.

This reinvention of the classic play takes Shakespeare’s words and fuses them with movement, violence and electronic beats.
This young company’s adaptation looks at what it means to lead a country, the insidious effects of toxic masculinity, and why gender continually seems to matter in positions of power.

Celebrating and championing women, Quandary Collective has a women-led production team, women-led creative team, and a woman in the starring role of Richard.
