Treasure Island opens in Greenwich
At Greenwich Theatre we are continuing what has become a popular tradition of staging classic family tales for the summer holidays, with a riotous comedy version of Treasure Island.
Our cast of four intrepid performers are bringing over 30 characters to life to tell the story of Jim Hawkins (played by David Haller), the orphaned teenager who sets off on an adventure on the high seas.

Accompanied by ship’s cook Long John Silver (Lauren Drennan), first mate Blue Peter (Elliott Bornemann) and led by the mysterious Captain Birdseye (Helen Ramsay), this is unlike any version of the story that audiences will have seen before, packed full of music, jokes, and a star turn from Alexa the Parrot.

The annual pantomime has become such a core part of Christmas in Greenwich, so we are all working to ensure that our summer show achieves the same thing for the school holidays.

Following acclaimed productions of The Jungle Book (review), The Wolves Of Willoughby Chase (quote) and Pinocchio (“very, very funny” Southwark News), we are already receiving fantastic feedback from audiences for this summer’s nautical adventure story.

The show runs until 4 September, with matinees and evening shows, with tickets available from www.greenwichtheatre.org.uk.
