New drama and theatre summer camp comes to Croydon

A new drama and theatre summer camp is coming to Croydon this July and August.

Acting For Stage will run one day a week from 11am until 5pm between July 29, until August 2, at The Shoestring Theatre in Oakley Road, South Norwood.

The five day programme will be led by acting coach and teacher, Jasmin Skeete, who has 11 years of experience working with young people between the ages of 11 and 21 in the theatre sector.

Ms Skeete said: “I have two former students of mine who will be supporting me across the five days, both have recently graduated from the BRIT school and are now at top London drama schools.”

Created for young drama lovers, the camp will develop the skills required to perform on a professional stage.

Throughout the sessions, participants will learn new acting skills as well as create their own production, with the final day culminating in a grand finale live performance for friends and family.

Sessions are charged at £15 per person – a total of £75 for the camp.
