Enjoy a series of music nights with Skate Lates throughout the winter season

This new set of evening events will have you dancing on ice.

Skate Lates, at Somerset House in the Strand, Westminster, features a series of music nights throughout the winter season.

Music sets from live DJs will play across the Somerset Houses winter rink.

The set will also be piped through to the Skate Lounge, directly from the decks.

So, after you’ve been on the rink, you can warm up and enjoy a drink in the Skate Lounge, where you can continue to soak up the atmosphere and music.

On December 1, DJ, broadcaster and writer Haseeb Iqbal joins Skate Lates for an all-vinyl set that journeys through spiritual jazz, roots reggae, 1970s psychedelic Pakistani cinema music and more.

Mr Iqbal has become one of London’s most esteemed selectors, with his monthly club night Studio Crumb and weekly documentary focussed radio broadcasts on his own radio station, HaseebIqbal.World.

Also among the line-up, will be the world’s leading reggae and dancehall label VP Records, hosting a Caribbean party on ice.

On December 14, DJs Becca D and Yng Cptn will play selections of both new and classic dancehall with the biggest hits in reggae.

Becca D has supported some of Jamaica’s biggest artists on tour, and played the likes of Glastonbury, Notting Hill Carnival, City Splash, Boomtown and more.

Yng Cptn is known for his sets of reggae and dancehall, past and present.

He has recently played venues from Soho House to City Splash. Head to Somerset House’s website to find out more about its Skate Lates.
