Evelyn ‘Champagne’ King is one of stars at Brixton Disco Festival on Saturday

The Brixton Disco Festival features Evelyn Champagne King, Greg Wilson, Francois K & Cosmo and more for its return in 2019.

Celebrate the past, present and future of disco with a line-up featuring disco royalty, original resident DJs, and exclusive screenings which includes ‘Studio 54’ plus special guest appearances to be announced soon.

Events are at Electric Brixton, Prince of Wales Rooftop & Club, The Ritzy Picturehouse, and The Black Cultural Archives, Brixton Disco Festival, celebrating the past, present, and future in disco.

The day and night festival will also see the likes of Low Life with Bill Brewster, Frank Broughton, and Brixton Disco Festival Orchestra in venues around Brixton’s iconic Windrush Square.

There will be talks, screenings, local food and drink, and a roller disco hosted by Mi-Soul Radio. Some of London’s finest disco crews and DJ’s will be supporting throughout the day and night, including Stevie Wonderland, Noble & Heath, Love Come Down, SlothBoogie, The Date, Size Doesn’t Matter, Pablo Contraband, London Disco Society, English Disco Lovers, and MOVE DJs.

The Ritzy cinema will be showing a special screening of ‘Studio 54’, telling the story of 1970’s disco paradise and New York’s most legendary nightclub.
