Man in 60s left in ‘critical condition’ after Croydon car crash
A man in his 60s has been left in a “critical condition” after he was allegedly hit by another man driving a car.
Emergency services were called to Brigstock Road in Thornton Heath at around 11.25pm on Friday. It was reported that a car had collided with a pedestrian.
The man in his 60s was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition, the Met confirmed.
The driver of the vehicle, a 37-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of driving offences. He has been bailed to a date in mid-November.
Police are now appealing for witnesses following the collision.
The investigation is being led by officers from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit.
