New Sainsbury’s Local opens in Deptford High Street

A new Sainsbury’s Local has opened in Deptford High Street.

Sainsbury’s Deptford Station Local is opposite the entrance to Deptford railway station in Lewisham and has opened its doors to customers this week following two months of work to refurbish the premises.

Its opening hours will be from 7am to 11pm, seven-days-a-week.

The colleagues that make up the new store team will play an active role in supporting local and nationwide charity and community initiatives.

This includes Sainsbury’s partnership with Neighbourly, which partners the shop with local food donation charities to ensure surplus food from the store goes to those who need it most.

Tanvir Hussain, Sainsbury’s Deptford Station Local Store Manager, said: “I’d like to thank everyone who has worked together to make our new store a success – we’re already off to a fantastic start.

“This is a proud moment for me and my new team and we’re looking forward to serving and helping our customers in Deptford for years to come.”
