Attacker on the loose as man stabbed in Croydon street

A man has been taken to hospital after he was stabbed by an attacker who is still on the loose.

The Met said they were called to Nottingham Road, Croydon, at around 1.30am this morning to reports of a stabbing.

A 24-year-old man was found there with stab injuries. He was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.

The man’s condition is not known at this stage.

A statement from the Met said: “We await an update on his condition. A crime scene has been put in place. There have been no arrests.”
