Beckenham residents share a little slice of Bromley FC’s glory

Care home residents who belong to Bromley FC’s over-50s social club got a special visit from representatives of the club – who brought a famous trophy with them.

The Ravens – as Bromley FC are known triumphed at Wembley in this year’s FA Trophy Final, beating Wrexham 1-0.

The Signature at Beckenham care home, South Eden Park Road, sponsors Raven’s Chat, which holds weekly meetings at Bromley FC’s Hayes Lane stadium.

It welcomed Bromley FC’s head of community, Matt Hall and Raven’s Chat members caught up over coffee and cakes to celebrate Bromley’s first trophy in seven years.

Raven’s Chat members are already planned their next trip to visit Hayes Lane and Signature at Beckenham will be hosting an afternoon tea with the Raven’s Chat members and residents on July 28 as part of National Friendship Day.
