Children’s hospice appeals for spring funding

By Keerthana Syam

A children’s hospice is encouraging residents to back its spring appeal before a match-funding pledge ends in a few weeks’ time.

Demelza, in North Park Road, Eltham, supports children with serious conditions across South-east London, and launched its spring appeal earlier this year.

This year the charity has been offered match-funding by The Freddie Green and Family Charitable Foundation and the Kenora Charitable Foundation meaning every pound donated will be doubled.

Lavinia Jarrett, Demelza’s chief executive said: “Demelza provides families with specialist care while helping them create lasting memories.

“For children with complex conditions, planning for the future can be daunting and we’re here to provide comfort even in the darkest times.

“And we couldn’t do that without your support. So please, give today and be the difference.”

Demelza’s specialist nurses work across their hospices, in the community and at local hospitals. The charity offers emotional and practical support to fit every family’s specific requirements.

The spring appeal closes at the end of April. Find out more here Every day can be extraordinary | Support Us | Demelza
