Clapham Shooting: Man charged after women left with gunshot injuries

An 18-year-old has been arrested and charged after a police chase involving two people on a moped left two women with gunshot injuries in Clapham on Friday.

Keymarni King, of Cromer Road, Tooting, was arrested on Monday and charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, theft of a vehicle, injury caused by an accident and two counts of inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent.

He appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court yesterday. 

The charges follow an incident at around 4.55pm near Clapham Common Tube station on Friday

A spokesman from the Met said: “Work to trace a second suspect is ongoing.

“Anyone with information is asked to call 101 ref CAD 5008/01Mar. To remain anonymous, please contact Crimestoppers (on 0800 555 111).”
