Consultation opens on 100% ‘affordable’ Clapham housing scheme

A consultation has opened for members of the public to give feedback on a proposed development which would offer 130 ‘affordable’ homes.

The consultation relates to Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing’s (MTVH) development of a vacant site in New Park Road, in Clapham Park.

The scheme aims to deliver up to 130 high-quality homes, all of which will be ‘affordable’, according to MTVH.

The housing association will host both in-person consultation events at Mullins Place, King’s Avenue on Thursday and Saturday, as well as an online webinar tomorrow.

The scheme is supported by the Greater London Authority Affordable Homes Grant to meet housing needs in the area.

Rachel Allen, of MTVH, said: “We are proud of our vision to transform the currently unused land in New Park Road. The upcoming events provide a valuable opportunity for people to give us their view, to ensure the plans align with the needs and expectations of local residents and the wider community.

“Our goal is to hear from the full diversity of our community, and we’re eager to hear directly from people during the consultation period about what they hope to see on the site.”

The public consultation process will close on November 25. For more information and to participate in the consultation, visit www.MTVHNewParkRoad.co.uk
