Cordons and closures in Bellingham as concerns raised for welfare of man in home

A police presence, cordons and closures are in place in Bellingham after concerns were raised for the welfare of a man inside a house.

Officers and emergency services are at the scene in Daneby Road.

No one else is believed to be inside the property, the Met said.

A spokesman for the Met said: “Officers are attempting to engage with the man and bring the matter to a safe conclusion.

“We thank local residents for their patience and advise people to avoid the area.

“Cordons and road closures remain in place while the situation is ongoing.”
