Cyclist assaulted by three men in Southwark Park attempted robbery

Police are looking for three men after a cyclist was left with head injuries and almost robbed of his e-bike in Southwark Park.

The assault took place at around 7pm on Monday when a 43-year-old man was stopped while cycling his e-bike through the park.

They pushed him off the bike and attacked him before stealing his bike.

The victim chased them and with the help of a member of public was able to get the bike back. The suspects fled in the direction of Southwark Park Road.

The victim sustained head and facial injuries in the robbery.

The suspects are believed to be aged in their late teens and were wearing black clothing. They had their faces covered.

Anyone with information is asked to call police via 101 quoting reference CAD 5833/24Oct. To remain anonymous call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

There have been no arrests and enquiries continue.
