Father and daughter team up with disability charity for London Marathon
A father and daughter have teamed up for this year’s London Marathon to raise money for a charity that supports disabled people to become as independent as possible.
Terry Cooper, 68, and his daughter, Caitlin Cooper, 27, of Putney, will take on the 26.2-mile challenge on April 21 to raise money for Surrey based charity Queen Elizabeth’s Foundation for Disabled people (QEF).
The dad-of-three said: “When I started my fundraising, I was amazed to become more and more aware of people who suffer from brain injuries and have needed the charity’s support.

“Running with Caitlin through the streets of London where I grew up is just the icing on the cake.”
The challenge will form part of Terry’s bucket list to complete 10 marathons by the age of 70. He started the challenge seven years ago and has completed three of the mammoth runs so far despite a severe bout of Covid last year.
QEF currently supports around 10,000 disabled children and adults each year.
