Fourth man charged in Patrick Gomes De’Almeida killing in Morden
A fourth man has been charged in connection with the killing of Patrick Gomes De’Almeida, who was stabbed to death earlier this month.
Lewis Adams, 29, of Rutherwick Rise, Croydon was charged yesterday with the murder of the 25-year-old in Morden.
He was also charged with grievous bodily harm and two counts of robbery. He will appear in custody today at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court.
On October 1, police were called at around 11pm to reports of a stabbing outside a block of flats in London Road, where Mr Gomes De’Almeida was pronounced dead at the scene less than half an hour later.
Another man, aged 33, was taken to hospital. His injuries were not life-threatening.
Three men had previously been charged in connection with the killing.
Gerald Atkins, 33, of Greyhound Terrace, Streatham, and Leigh Wright, 28, of Whitworth Road, South Norwood, were charged with murder, two counts of robbery and causing grievous bodily harm.
Jamali Calvert, 20, of Ingatestone Road, Croydon was charged with murder, grievous bodily harm and two counts of robbery.
All three will appear at the Old Bailey on December 7.
