Funeral arranger and her two dogs raise over £300 for pet rescue charity

A funeral arranger and her two dogs have raised over £300 for a pet rescue charity.

Emma Stupple, who works at Co-op Funeralcare in Brockley, took part in a 5km obstacle course earlier this month.

She completed the challenge alongside family and their two dogs, Toby, a four-year-old Pug and Jack Russell cross, and Bliss, a six-year-old Black Labrador.

She said: “As a dog lover and owner, the Battersea Dogs & Cats Home means a lot to me as they take in injured, abused or neglected animals and find them new, loving forever homes.

“Through their incredible rescue work, they make sure dogs and cats can now go into the care of loving individuals, who will care and protect them.

“I want to thank everyone for their support of this great initiative, helping us make life better for man’s best friend.”

The event, which took place on Saturday September 9, led to Emma raising over £300 for Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.

After missing out of the 2020 event due to Covid-19 restrictions, Ms Stupple and her family decided to complete the challenge in honour of their late family dog, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier mix called Boris.

Although not a rescue from Battersea, Boris had been taken in by the family during his last years before sadly passing away from liver cancer.
