Teenager from Tulse Hill charged over killing of James Marafini, 15, outside Southside Shopping Centre, Wandsworth

Detectives investigating the murder of 15-year-old Joseph Marafini in Wandsworth have charged two more males with murder and made a fifth arrest.

A 17-year-old male was arrested on Saturday, 31 October on suspicion of murder. He was charged with breaching his bail conditions and appeared at Bromley Youth Court on Monday, 2 November, where he was further charged with murder. He will next appear in court on a date to be confirmed.

Shaun Martini, 18, of Christchurch Road, Tulse Hill, was arrested on Sunday, 1 November and was charged with murder on Monday, 2 November. He appeared at Camberwell Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 3 November where he was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on Thursday, 5 November.

An 18-year-old man, was arrested on Tuesday, 3 November on suspicion of murder. He was taken to a west London police station where he remains at this time.

Police were called at 4.58pm on Thursday, 29 October to reports of a fight outside a supermarket on Garratt Lane, Wandsworth.

Two males were found near the Garratt Lane Burial Ground suffering from knife injuries.

The first victim was taken to hospital where he later died.

He has been formally identified as Joseph Marafini, 15, of Wandsworth.

The second victim’s injuries were assessed as non-life threatening.

An investigation led by detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command (Homicide) is underway, and specially trained officers are supporting his family.

A post-mortem examination found the cause of death to have been a stab wound to the neck.

One other man has been charged with Joseph’s murder.

Imran Boudjellel, 19, of Bronti Close, Walworth, was charged with murder on Saturday, 31 October.

He appeared in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court later the same day and was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey on Tuesday, 3 November. He is remanded in custody to appear at the same court on a date to be confirmed.
