Grants of up to £10,000 available for Windrush 75 community celebrations

Grants of up to £10,000 are available for community activities to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Windrush.

The grants have been made available by The National Lottery Community Fund to celebrate the historic anniversary as it is an important moment for communities to celebrate, commemorate and reflect upon the huge contribution that Windrush pioneers and their families have made in London.

These grants are being made through the National Lottery Awards for All programme, which awards around £80m each year across England.

In 2023 the National Lottery is supporting three national moments – the King’s Coronation, Eurovision with Ukrainian refugees and communities, and the Windrush 75th anniversary.

The funding will be available throughout the year, but for communities wishing to apply for a grant specifically for Windrush Day, which is on June 22, applications will need to be submitted by March 30.
