Health hubs launch to support people suffering from chronic pain

Bromley residents suffering from chronic joint pain could see relief through two new health hubs launched earlier this month.
Specialist health provider Mytime Active has set up the new Musculoskeletal (MSK) Health Hubs to provide exercise, rehabilitation and well-being support to people living with chronic pain, as well as patients undergoing surgery.
Classes are now being run from the two new locations, The Spa at Beckenham, in Beckenham Road, Beckenham, and The Walnuts Leisure Centre, in Lych Gate Road, Orpington.
The programme consists of a digital health assessment followed by gym and pool exercise sessions.
People living in the area can sign up through self-referral or via a health or social prescriber.
Diane Friday, programme manager at Mytime Active, said: “Whilst the specialist exercise programme can’t cure these conditions, it does go a long way to help people manage their pain and improve their mobility.
“It is an alternative to surgery for the estimated one million people who are waiting for NHS orthopaedic treatments.”
