Kalabe Legesse stabbing: Two teenagers arrested on suspicion of murder

Two teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of murdering 29-year-old Kalabe Legesse, who was stabbed to death in Peckham Rye Park.

A 19-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy were arrested on suspicion of murder yesterday.

They both remain in custody at a South London police station.

Kalabe was found with a stab wound after police were called at around 8.30pm on December 30 last year to Peckham Rye Park and Common.

Despite the efforts of emergency services, he died at the scene.

A post-mortem held the next day found the cause of death to be a haemorrhage and a stab wound to the heart.

His next of kin have been informed of the arrests and continue to be supported by specialist officers.
